JoJo Siwa’s ex Kath Ebbs is speaking out against “untrue allegations” about their shocking split.
In a statement provided to Us Weekly, Ebbs, 27, reacted after Siwa, 21, addressed their breakup in a recent podcast interview. “It’s really unfortunate that my relationship with this person is being reduced to untrue allegations about what happened at a party,” Ebbs noted, claiming that fans have “only heard one side of the story.”
Their statement continued, “Attacks on my character are not something I take lightly, especially from someone I cared for deeply and shared a committed relationship with.”
Ebbs broke the news of their split from Siwa via TikTok earlier this month, hinting that their relationship ended after Siwa formed a close connection with her Celebrity Big Brother costar and Love Island UK alum Chris Hughes.

Siwa shared more insight into the breakup on the Wednesday, April 30, episode of “The Viall Files” podcast, saying, “I’m so happy where I’m at right now that I just want to stay here. Whatever that means, whatever this is, I’m great here.”
The singer specifically addressed the speculation about her bond with Hughes.
“Obviously, a lot of people think that Chris has something to do with it,” she said. “Chris does not have absolutely anything to do with it. Chris and I are friends. We have a very, very great friendship.”
Siwa went on to discuss how she was unhappy in her relationship with Ebbs but didn’t realize until she was in the Celebrity Big Brother house.
“All of a sudden, we’re at the wrap party for Big Brother. I’m getting cussed out,” Siwa recalled. “I understand [why] they’re angry and [why] they’re coming at me. But I also keep reiterating, like, I’m not in a place to talk.”

Siwa claimed that she didn’t plan to speak publicly about her split from Ebbs, adding, “Out of respect for another human in this situation, they have asked to not speak about it, for me to not speak about them. I told them, I said, ‘Look, that’s going to make me seem like I am avoidant of the situation.’ I’m not avoidant of the situation.”
Things changed, however, once Ebbs posted their video on the matter.
“Kath posted a video basically alluding to Chris and I are the reasons that we broke up. That’s not the case. That is not the truth. And they know that and I know that,” Siwa said, revealing there were “so many reasons” why she and Ebbs split. “I understand Chris and I are very tight. We have this very beautiful bond, this very beautiful connection, but don’t paint it out to look like I cheated on you with him because I did not. I will stand on that ground.”
