Sean “Diddy” Combs has been accused of sexual battery in a newly filed lawsuit.
Fashion designer Bryana “Bana” Bongolan claimed that Diddy intimidated and threatened her on multiple occasions, such as dangling her from a balcony, according to recent court documents obtained by Rolling Stone.
“The only purpose of dangling someone over a balcony is to actually kill them or to intentionally terrorize them and rob them of any concept of dominion over their own bodily autonomy and safety,” the court filing reads. “Ms. Bongolan refuses to allow this fear to control the rest of her life and brings this action to demand that Mr. Combs takes responsibility for the trauma he intentionally and maliciously [inflicted].”
According to Bongolan’s recollection, Diddy held her over his then-girlfriend Cassie’s apartment balcony in September 2016 while screaming at her. He also allegedly told Bongolan that he was “the motherf—ing devil” and she had “no idea what [he] could do to” her.
Diddy “firmly” denied Bongolan’s accusations in a statement provided to Rolling Stone. Us Weekly has reached out for comment.
“Anyone has the right to file a lawsuit, regardless of the evidence they may or may not have,” a legal spokesperson for Diddy told the outlet. “Since last year, Ms. Bongolan has expressed an intention to sue Mr. Combs and has sought legal representation to pursue her claims. Mr. Combs firmly denies these serious allegations and remains confident they will ultimately be proven baseless.”
Bongolan also claimed in her legal motion that she witnessed “disturbing signs of an abusive relationship” between Diddy and Cassie, 38. (Diddy and Cassie dated between 2007 and 2018. In November 2023, Cassie sued Diddy for assault and abuse before they settled out of court the next day. Diddy denied the claims.)
The disgraced music mogul was indicted by a grand jury in September, shortly before he was arrested for sex trafficking, racketeering, conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. A 14-page indictment claimed that Diddy allegedly “abused, threatened and coerced women and others around him” for decades.
Diddy pleaded not guilty to the charges and was remanded to Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center until his trial early next year. A judge has denied him bail on four separate attempts.
“We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” Diddy’s attorney Marc Agnifilo told Us in a September statement. “Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children and working to uplift the Black community. He is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal.”
The statement continued, “To his credit, Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges. Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”
