Auto West London has officially opened its doors in Chiswick under the strategic direction of Steve Young, managing director of ICDP, who now leads the UK expansion for Çetaş Otomotiv, Turkey’s largest automotive dealer group.
The new dealership, located on the corner of Devonshire Road at the Hogarth Roundabout, is the first UK site for Çetaş Otomotiv and represents its long-term ambition to grow into a small but agile dealer group across the south east.
Omoda and Jaecoo are sub-brands of Chery Automobile, China’s fifth-largest carmaker whose UK headquarters are located near the new dealership at Chiswick Business Park.
Auto West London is wholly owned by Cetas Automotive who has already had success representing Omoda and Jaecoo in Turkey and is now expanding its partnership with Chery to establish in the UK market.
“We are proud to be Omoda and Jaecoo’s flagship dealership in the heart of Chiswick, serving all of London and the surrounding areas,” said Mehmet Tasar, owner and executive chairman of Cetas Automotive.
“Our team is tight-knit and focused on delivering outstanding service to west London customers.”
Speaking to AM earlier his year, Young said the group’s retail infrastructure will be built around digital engagement. “We’re developing IT systems for a digitally driven dealership – not a traditional dealership with some digital features bolted on.”
“With no legacy constraints, we’re building an ‘A team’ with the right skills and mindset to support a modern, omnichannel retail model.”
The dealership was officially launched on 9 April by the Mayor of Hounslow, Cllr Karen Smith, alongside local business representatives including Sally Smith of the West London Chambers of Commerce.
