Venture X Offers Chance at Taylor Swift Tickets. Are You Ready for It?

For fans who have given up on seeing Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour live, it’s been a cruel summer. But if you happen to have an eligible Capital One credit card? Shake it off and pay attention.

The Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card is offering a limited-time opportunity to potentially score tickets to one of Swift’s U.S. concerts in Miami (Oct. 18-20); New Orleans (Oct. 25-27); or Indianapolis (Nov. 1-3). Cardholders who have opened a Venture X card on or before Aug. 31, 2024, are eligible for this offer. Here’s what to know.

How it works

Tickets go on sale Sept. 13, 2024, via Ticketmaster, and a portion of those tickets have been set aside for Venture X cardholders as part of this promotion.

To be eligible for access to those tickets, qualifying cardholders must register beforehand — by noon ET on Sept. 11, 2024 — as a Venture X Verified Fan on Ticketmaster’s website, with the unique code they received in an email from Capital One. The subject line reads: “Venture X access to Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour.”

Even if you already have Verified Fan status for another event, you’ll still need to register for this one. When you do, you’ll be able to choose your dates and cities of preference among the three host cities. A Venture X card must also be saved to the Ticketmaster Wallet at the time of registration.

Ticketmaster will send you an email confirming your registration. Note, however, that simply registering does not mean you’ll be granted access to the sale, or to the tickets themselves.

OK, then what?

On Sept. 12, 2024, Venture X cardholders will receive an email letting them know whether they’ve been selected to buy Eras tickets, or whether they’ve been placed on the waitlist. Cardholders are limited to two tickets each. If tickets remain after the initial sale on Sept. 13 — and that’s a big “if” — those on the waitlist may receive another access code.

This offer marks the second time Capital One has partnered with The Eras Tour to give Capital One cardholders early access to the coveted tickets. This time around, hopeful concertgoers will be able to see whether Ticketmaster has sorted through the issues that prompted empty-handed Swifties to file a lawsuit against the company when tickets first went on sale in 2022.
