Two more No. 1 seeds will have opportunities to punch tickets to the Elite Eight on Friday when the 2025 NCAA Tournament continues with games in Atlanta and Indianapolis.
Auburn-Michigan should be considered the main event.
That’s the No. 1 seed (Auburn) against the No. 5 seed (Michigan) in the South Region — the outright SEC champion against the Big Ten Tournament champion. And though Bruce Pearl’s Tigers are actually the overall No. 1 seed in this event and a 9.5-point favorite in this Sweet 16 matchup, the truth is that Michigan is the team that’s been playing better lately — evidence being the Wolverines’ five-game winning streak featuring four victories over top-20 KenPom teams. For whatever it’s worth, Auburn is 0-3 in its past three games against top-20 KenPom teams.
Auburn-Michigan is set to tip at 9:39 pm ET.
You can watch it on CBS.
