The 2024 Paris Olympics are in full swing, and Team USA is a strong favorite to finish atop the Olympics medal count. As a result, there’s no shortage of star power that will be representing the United States throughout the remainder of the Summer Games, which last through Sunday, Aug. 11
Simone Biles and Katie Ledecky have been household names for multiple Olympics, and while Ledecky’s Summer Games is now over, Biles has a chance to make even more history Monday. Caeleb Dressel on Sunday became the most decorated American male swimmer other than Michael Phelps winning his 10th career medal. And Noah Lyles burst onto the scene as he promised he would by becoming the first American in 20 years to win the 100 meters at the Olympics. He will begin his trek toward the 200 meters on Monday.
Beyond the gym and track, USA Basketball is onto the quarterfinals in the men’s and women’s tournaments; they will play on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. The men did not advance in soccer, but the U.S. Women’s National Team will compete in its semifinal match on Tuesday as well.
