Drake London, WR, Atlanta Falcons: London posted similar results in his first two seasons, finishing with 866 receiving yards in 2022 and 905 yards in 2023. He also caught just two touchdown passes last season, and the expected improvement at the quarterback position is not enough to justify his ADP. Kirk Cousins is coming off a serious Achilles injury, while rookie Michael Penix Jr. would need time to settle in if he is forced into action.
“London is being drafted for his best-case scenario considering he was 44th in points per game last year, and he’s going to need to meet those expectations of taking a big step forward himself in addition to getting to play with a better QB in order to justify his draft slot,” White told SportsLine.
Saquon Barkley, RB, Philadelphia Eagles: Barkley heads to Philadelphia after spending six seasons with the division rival Giants, taking over RB1 duties with the Eagles. He ranked second in opportunity share last season, but he was barely inside the top 40 in missed forced tackles per attempt. Barkley is also going to have some of his touchdown-scoring chances taken away by quarterback Jalen Hurts.
“I don’t think there’s a massive amount of downside for Barkley, who finished ninth in PPR points per game last year. But he only needs to be 11th or worse to qualify as a bust for us, and there’s a real chance he could siphon touchdowns to Jalen Hurts, who had 15 of the team’s 22 rushing touchdowns last year. If Barkley only winds up with three to five rushing TDs, he’s going to have to smash in yardage to finish top 10 at the position,” White said.
