The Blue Army continue where they left off, their season starting in fine form, and have now won four games on the spin. Their latest triumphs, 8-2 against strong starters Cliffy Holls and 7-1 against Huyton, put their goal difference at a healthy +20 and fearing no one. The Boys, still relatively new to the league, look like strong candidates for title contender-ship – they remain unbeaten and are playing some inspiring football. Wavertree, perennial contenders are within touching distance of The Blue Army, and have shaken off the effects of their opening day defeat, 6-1 against Real Tarragona, and an impressive 11-5 against Stockbridge.

Real Smash and Mega Powers probably cannot wait to play each other, no doubt both teams will be wishing to get off the mark for the season. Cliffy Holls and Stockbridge both provided further indication of the progress required to make it in this league, meting out beatings upon Mega Powers, which although only just touched double figures, really could have been much more emphatic. Real Smash have had a similarly tough run, but the manner of the defeat (10-2) against the erratic Smeg FC, will have brought cold, harsh reality to the side. After a strong start, where a fortnight previously they lay top of the table, Blueprint have sunk to 9th place following two defeats, a close 8-5 against Deportivo La Corona, and a 10-2 against Real Tarragona. They do however, continue to show dramatic improvement from last season.
