Liverpool Futures Forum

Liverpool Futures Forum to be held on Friday 22nd January 2010 at Parr Street Studios. You're welcome too. Over the past few months, the Liverpool Students' Union successfully launched their three forums; Better Union, Better University and Better City. The aim of these forums was to cut down barriers and invite students to be a part of the decision making and brainstorming sessions concerning dealings and problems with the union, universtiy and the city as a whole.

The forums also opened up opportunities for students to run for delegate positions via a democratic voting system. There were usually good turnouts at these forums and students brought up a lot of issues ranging from coursework feedback to healthier food options and from cheaper drinks at the union to lack of recycling facilities in student halls. These issues were then taken away and worked on by the union and university representatives and results were there for everyone to see. All in all an impact is being made.

So this Friday is the launch of the Impact Report, a culmination of all the progress that has been made by the LSU in the past year. The event will be held at Parr Stree Studios between 11am and 4pm and there will be free food catered for by the highest ever rated contestant on Come Dine With Me. Everyone is welcome to see how much has been accomplished over the past year so feel free to make your way down.

The agenda for the event is as follows:

11:00 - Welcome from Jemma, VP Academic Quality
11:05 - Greeting from our Vice Chancellor
11:15 - The Impact Report with Eddie, President
